Seagrass in Eastern Bay of Islands

The report describes an investigation into the loss of seagrass meadows from the eastern Bay of Islands. The report quantifies the loss of seagrass in this area by comparison of historical and recent aerial images, identifies factors that may have contributed to seagrass decline and recommends options to protect remaining seagrass and rehabilitate areas. 

This report was prepared for the Northland Regional Council by the National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research Ltd (NIWA) Auckland.
