Five-year review of the Regional Policy Statement

Under the Resource Management Act 1991, council is required to undertake a review of the effectiveness and efficiency of the Regional Policy Statement (RPS) after five years. A number of possible changes have been identified to the RPS; however, due to the current uncertainty over Government legislation, council is not intending to make any changes in the short term.
